Bad *ss Beads by Barb: Our own local Morganville, NJ artist jewelry designer extraordinaire. Unique, unique, unique and oh so wearable, wantable, I-may-not-sell-any-but-buy-them-all-for-myself-just-to-gaze-upon-able. Plus, she's so cool.
Vasundhar Bharatiya: Her specialty is using different mediums like plaster of Paris, threads, beads and sequins, to create a 3-Dimensional effect on her paintings. Her love for bright colors is very apparent in her work. Thepaintings have a childlike, whimsical quirk, which catches the eye. Most of her paintings are based on flora and fauna. The Sunset Peacock being her most acclaimed work receivedappreciation from young and old alike. She prefers to call her work “Handmade Textured Art”.Her Indian roots are visible in some of her paintings, especially the Peacock.
Deborah Bowen: The multi talented Ms. Bowen has handmade jewelry, fused glass, crocheted scarves and stained glass at our Artemis Boutique. She does it all from that awesome Hudson Valley Artist's town of Cragsmore. Her talent is overflowing and her work...stunning.
Mr. Guy for Harrison Morgan Accessories: all original prototype jewelry designs before going out to be recreated for other big named stores. Imagine owning THE ORIGINAL piece. His work has an elegance to it that reminds one of Coco Chanel. Stunning turquoise necklaces and, well, you will just have to come in to see.
Mary Endico - Endico Watercoler Originals: the bluest blues I've ever seen, birch trees, abstracts and more. Artemis Boutique is proud to represent Endico Watercolor originals. Mary Endico is an internationally acclaimed artist who lives in Sugar Loaf, NY. I have known Mary my entire life and am grateful she has consented to allow me to sell a few hand picked pieces. You never know when a new painting will arrive, so be sure to stop by Artemis Boutique and catch up.
Carol Gildar: hand painted one of a kind silk scarves and hand made one of a kind pocketbooks to just melt over. So soft, so lovely, so, ahhhhhriginal.
Carol from Amity Farm Batik, NY: amazing process of painting with wax on fabric (ok, it's a lot more complicated than that) and her work is stunning. Who would ever think that batik could be so intricate. Horses, Unicorns, Frogs, Vegetables (yes, vegetables can look really amazing), fish and so much more. It is so hard not to want to buy them all, but instead, I have prints of her work so we can afford to put them in the most prominent or private of places in our homes. You must come and see them.
Shari Kantor - has been winning awards and accolades for her paintings since she was a child, she's even exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art...and now her work is here...feel the music, mood, and depth of meaning when you gaze upon these very original abstracts.
Joe Le - local inventor - made the amazing Pedisock. Socks for a pedicure, but with the toe seperators already built in (like toe socks but without the tips). So your toes stay warm and your pedicure stays perfect.
Harrison Morgan Accessories: limited edition handmade evening bags by Mr. Morgan himself. I was able to procure 2 of each of the 5 designs...and there are only 7 or 8 of each design made, so don't dawdle and get one quick before they're all gone. Mr. Guy and Mr. Morgan are from Manhattan, with their lovely upstate NY cottage as well, of course decorated by Mr. Guy who is also an Interior Designer.
Michele Sauber stopped in to buy something and we got to talking and low and behold, she had the coolest creations she did for fun....so, they are now at Artemis Boutique-her super pretty earrings and her totally original "stem wear" - wine charms for your wine glass made out of buttons, some antique mixed in with some new and you have amazing sets to choose from.
Lene Mai Savel: born and raised in Denmark, Lene came to America at the age of 22. Always a creative person, she has worked in so many aspects of the creative world, such as book binding, clothing design, and now jewelry. Her work is just lovely and a joy to wear.
Jennifer J. Shortess: proprietor and artist here at Artemis Boutique; jewelry, fused glass sculptures and illuminated sculptures (aka really stunning lamps if I say so myself) and whatever else I feel like making (yes, even some cool scarves). Right now, I'm really into crystal suncatchers.....and bells.....oh, and using PreRaphaelites work to make some mixed media wall hangings. OH, and I have some photography, too.
Melanie Spence-Ayar - came into Artemis Boutique and purchased the perfect turquoise necklace for herself. It was just right. We got to talking and she paints in oil, has for years and despite prompting, she never wanted her work to leave her home...until she came to Artemis Boutique...and now, we have her premiere showing of an oil painting entitled "Mother" for sale here. Come and see the beauty of motherhood from the eyes of an intelligent, creative, wonderful person.
Top Secret: a few female entrepeneurs who create fun, beautiful, and sometimes sexy bandaues.
Judith Tullock, cool, smooth, funky beautiful singer and musician and her awesome band are selling their CDs here.
Wait until I get Owen and Margy here, too.....oh, the music.
Woodstock Chimes: oh, so famous but oh so good. Your home is not complete without the fine tunes that the chimes of Gary from Shokan, NY ring, sing and whisper into your ears and soul.
Oh, original ornaments (so beautiful) and snazzy bralettes.....oh, so much to remember and gaze upon.
And in a few days or weeks, they'll be even more amazing artists here.
That we are awesome, of course.
And some are even artists that want to put their work in here.
Our store is truly unique, you could spend hours in here finding new things in every nook and cranny - yet we have the most relaxing and comfortable space...and it smells good, too.
We'd love to hear from you and even better, come see the shoppe. There is something for everyone here, especially yourself.....or that person that is so hard to shop for because they are so picky or have everything.....we've got it covered. If you don't find something that you absolutely love at Artemis Boutique, I will be personally shocked and make the Home Alone face.
